Remove MB8611 modem from account

Just recently switched cable modems from the MB8611 to the CM3000 for higher upload speeds. The upload speeds have improved to 300Mbps but the download speeds seem capped at 600-800 on our 1100Mbps plan. I'm wondering if something on the Comcast side isn't configured quite right because this modem should have no problem reaching 1100Mbps since it is fully supported device (unlike the MB8611 which isn't anymore but was at one time).

Hello there, @bww129! Thanks for reaching out to us on the Community Forum! Generally if you're able to get online, then the configuration on our end is complete. Are you using a router in conjunction with the MB8611? If so, are you testing your speeds directly connected to the MB8611 with ethernet? A direct connect to the modem will show you the most accurate speed test.

Hi Frank. Of course, I have an Asus RT-AX68U serving 3 wired and at least 15 wireless clients. It has been very solid with the MB8611 and seems fine now with the CM3000. My laptop doesn't have an ethernet port, but the wireless speeds are 1200 up/1200 down on 5GHz. As of right now it's actually only achieving 300-500Mbps down and 350Mbps up on the speed test between the router and modem. I've never seen it go above 600Mbps down with the new CM3000 modem which makes me think something isn't configured right on the backend.

I've read elsewhere that these types of problems often seem to get resolved after Comcast reprovisions the modem on their end. Is that something you could help with?
