You can record up to six programs at one time! Take a look at this link for additional information: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/x1-dvr-overview. You'll notice a section about Scheduling Conflicts:

"If you set up more than your maximum recordings that air at the same time, you may be presented with a conflict notification. You can choose to record your new program and cancel the lowest priority program or just cancel the new recording request."

What you'd want to do next is check your Scheduled Recordings section through the X1 Guide to see if from there you can immediately identify which content had the conflict and why/how. Below I have included some supporting information from this link that can be used for reference: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/x1-manage-the-priority-of-a-program.

Prioritize Recordings on Your X1 DVR

With Xfinity X1, you can record up to six programs in your home simultaneously and even watch another program – whether it's a pre-recorded show, a live program or an Xfinity On Demand program.

If there's a scheduling conflict, the recording with the highest priority is recorded. The recordings are prioritized as:

  • More recently scheduled one-time recordings have higher priority than less recently scheduled one-time recordings.
  • More recently scheduled series recordings have higher priority than less recently scheduled series recording.
  • One-time recordings have higher priority than series recordings.

Follow the guidelines listed in the link above to access the Series Priority setting and change the priority of a scheduled recording.

In some cases, it may be necessary to perform a System Refresh from within the Settings section of the X1 guide/menu, or even do a regular power cycle in attempt to get the box back on track if you weren't able to find anything that matches what I've listed above. Please don't hesitate to let us know what other questions you have, if any.

Hi there, @Dburke33921. Thank you for creating a post in our forums and reaching out to us. Are you recordings multiple shows at the same time? If you are, how many shows are you trying to record?

I am having the same issue, and it's only 2 shows that are being attempted to record at the same time (unless something has changed I thought you could record up to 7 simultaneously?)
