Price increase
I just started a new plan with discounts in November 2025 and now my upcoming charges for January 2026 show a $15 increase
Why is my bill increasing this much after I made various changes to lower my bill just 2 months ago
I'm really not satisfied with this happening after I have been a customer for over 30 years

I checked the app and my billing. In November I got a promotion for 1 gig internet speed for 5 years along with other discounts I had that remain in effect. I also am aware Netflix was removed because it is no longer offered through Xfinity. I returned 1 cable box which reduced my bill by $12. All in my bill was reduced the last two months to $262 and $263. I just saw the my upcoming charges for January will be $278. The bill is not yet available for me to look at, but I am already dissatisfied with this increase. I did not make any further changes or use any services that would account for this increase. I have been an Xfinity (Comcast) customer well over 30 years. What am I getting for my loyalty to this company ?
I need an explanation about this unannounced increase.

That is a great question @user_twh773 ! From my experience it is due to price increases that you would find mentioned on your November or December billing statement. You can always get a break down of charges by looking at your billing statement. For the Xfinity app after signing in you would go to manage billing. After that click on current statement so that you can view the PDF. To view previous statements you would select statement history. If you don't already have the Xfinity app make sure you download it. It is honestly one of the best apps we have to offer to manage your account. The app will keep you updated on maintenance, interruptions, and other service-related notices. You can also troubleshoot, manage appointments, and manage your bill.
If due to increases in our rates, while we try to hold down costs, price changes are necessary for a number of reasons, including continually increasing costs of programming and our ongoing investments in network upgrades, cutting edge technologies, and enhanced products and services. If you signed up on a promotional offer, you will not see an increase to the base price of those services until your promotional period has ended. Equipment charges, installation charges, taxes and fees, including regulatory recovery fees, the Broadcast TV Fee, the Regional Sports Network Fee, and other applicable charges are subject to change and could alter the total amount you pay during and after the promotional period. https://www.xfinity.com/pricechange
Have you reviewed your billing statements?

My Broadcast TV Fee now cost MORE THAN MY PACKAGE!
Xfinity keeps raising rates while taking away channels.

Mine has gone up $20 with no changes (bill received Jan 2026). The bill goes up every year with no changes in service. They do NOT value long term customers. Just price increases. If you go to the store or telephone to look for a decrease in cost they will do nothing. I will drop Xfinity like a hot rock if fiber optic ever makes it to my home.

Bill increased from $280 to $312. STB box fees? Rebroadcast fees? Are you kidding. I can't get a new box. Just used broken scratched garbage someone returned. We are looking for streaming alternatives and we have an antenna for locals. Xfinity Comcast is unaffordable and a monopoly in our area. They will offer no discounts for loyal current customers. It is the most expensive bill even over the electric utility for my home.

My guanteed for 5 year internet fee of $60.00 just increased to $70.00! I've only been enrolled for about six months of the five year guarantee. Does guanteed mean something different to Comcast Xfinity? Am I a fool for believing it would actually stay $60.00 for the five years I was promised?

It's insane. I registered for 1 gig $50 monthly for 5 year deal they had in December, and after 1 month it suddenly got raised to ONE FIFTY PER MONTH WITH NO WARNING. What kind of Indian scam is this? What happened to locking to 50 dollars for 5 years?

I just got notified of my next bill and my records show my bill has jumped in the monthly rate in the past few years from $36 to $51 last year to $75 this year!!! That’s almost a 50% increase. I received NO courtesy of an explanation and that’s just unacceptable for a loyal customer. I see many, many responses like mine with a canned answer to the effect of “we understand your frustration” but absolutely no clear message about WHY the increase and certainly I can see no responses that indicate Xfinity is interested in explaining to loyal customers what the situation is or finding ways to reward customers for their business. Just pat phrases. Help. Please.

The same thing is happening to me. I already pay $225 per month. On Jan. 23 it is increasing to $329!! Xfinity has deals for new customers but does not offer them to existing customers.
