Please remove peacock from my account

Hi there, please remove the peacock linkage from my account so I can subscribe separately. From other posts it looks like I need to do this through DM. Thanks.

More specifically, can someone please enable DM on my account so I can make the request?  This was detailed with some instructions given by various support agents such as @XfinityBillie

Hello, @user_txnfqa the right actions to take are going to depend on how you originally subscribed to Peacock. Did you sign up using an X1 cable box, directly with Peacock, or is it included with your subscription somehow? Examples of this are when you have Gigabit service or higher, or a qualifying Xfinity Rewards account. We can learn more details here.

@XfinityJosephA​ thanks, I’m qualified with Xfinity rewards (subscriber for like 20 years :). When I go to that page I can only upgrade peacock but no option to cancel.

If the accounts are already linked @user_txnfqa, we will not be able to separate them to cancel the subscription. If you are looking to subscribe to the Peacock Premium Plus subscription, you can upgrade and downgrade from Peacock Premium to Peacock Premium Plus, but we will not be able to totally cancel the subscription. If you would like a separate Peacock streaming service plan, you would need to use a new email address/password to create a new account.

@XfinityJosephA @XfinityDemitrius Ok so once they are linked, that is a permanent action and can never be undone, basically that email address is owned by Xfinity now in the Peacock system. Got it!

Once the accounts are linked, we are unable to remove the association @user_txnfqa. You do have the option of upgrading/downgrading to the Peacock Premium Plus subscription if you are looking to make changes. If you would like a separate Peacock streaming service plan, you would need to use a new email address/password to create a new account.

@XfinityDemitrius​ I accept this answer, but no button is available. Just confirming the answer is that performing the Xfinity-Peacock link is a non-reversible action and the only option is to create a new Peacock account.  I did this and asked Peacock for a refund of the yearly plan I had already purchased that became impossible to access after the linking.
