Yesterday while I was making a technician appointment in the Xfinity app the Xfinity Assistant said, “Let’s get your appointment scheduled. First, is this the number where you’d like to get appointment updates? (XXX)-XXX-XXX (I X’d out the number for privacy reasons)This is the number I have on file, but let me know if there’s another number you prefer. Just so you know, this is the only time you can update your phone number for notifications associated to this appointment.” The number the Xfinity assistant gave is NOT my phone number. Why did the Xfinity Assistant have a wrong number on file? How can I make sure that the Xfinity Assistant has my correct phone number on file during the process of scheduling all future technician appointments and that my phone number is correct in every area for my Xfinity account? When I go to the Xfinity app>Account tab>Account settings>Xfinity ID and security>Mobile number>it shows my correct phone number there.
@user_s2edvwThank you for sharing those details. We are happy to look at the phone number on the account in all spaces to make sure it is correct for you. Could you please send our team a direct message with your full name and full address? Our team can most definitely take a further look at this issue. To send a "Direct Message": Click "Sign In" if necessary • Click the "Direct Message chat" icon • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon • Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window • Press Enter to send it
