Pedestal Boxes

Comcast has a relay pedestal box on the corner of my front yard. to call it an eyesore would be an understatement. Recently, it was hit and damaged by a vehicle. I attempted to inform Comcast and was given the runaround by customer service for 5 weeks. it wasn't until I took pictures to my local Xfinity store that someone contacted me about the hazard created by the exposed equipment and the hole in the space where the pedestal was damaged. While we were away for Christmas, Comcast finally came to do the repair, although I requested the pedistal box be replaced with an underground flat cover, they instead placed an even bigger pedistal box that is larger than the original. I have been a customer with Comcast for over 40 years. I don't believe this is the way Comcast should be treating their loyal customers.

I would appreciate a response and some direct communication.
thank you,

Hi there, @user_b77xuz! Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Community Forum! Glad to see the pedestal was fixed! I can understand wanting to get that pedestal converted into an underground vault, and we can make sure a request is put in for that. However, I do want to point out that it does take some time to get that authorized and completed if it is approved. For perspective, there may be a request in already, but we do want to make sure that the damage is repaired in the interim, so that is likely why you see this replacement.
