I just logged into my Xfinity account to try again and the banner was there, right at the top. It did have an activate button and once clicked it went to Peacock where I entered my Peacock account credentials NOT my Xfinity account credentials, and it worked. Good luck everyone!

@user_d2fc3d did you log in on your computer. I still don’t see it. Did you get an email after you redeemed the rewards

@user_d2fc3d did you log in via your computer or another device?  I am trying from my computer, but have not found the banner anywhere?  Was it on the main xfinity page?  xfinity.com/auth?

BIG surprise.  I got the email advising me to sign into my account and click the Peacock banner.

There is no Peacock banner.  There is no way to activate this "gift".

24 hours more, and I'm deleting Peacock and moving on...

@Robster2001

‘’I never got a second email about activating. However I opened the xfinity app signed out, closed it, opened it again and signed in and it was the 2nd banner/box on my main page in the app.  I wish I had taken a screenshot. It isn’t a peacock banner per say.

on my app the top says my network is fine, then Diamond rewards are waiting, a row of purple, boxes to manage bill etc..  a banner/box about signing up for mobile and then under that there was the large white box/banner that said activate your peacock premium. I almost scrolled passed it at first. So for me there isn’t a big flashy peacock banner at the top of the app. I had to scroll down. I also opened up peacock on the web and signed out all my devices, not sure if that helped or not. But shortly after I did that is when I also signed out of the xfinity app and signed back in.

I had to close and open the app a few times but the banner finally showed up.

The way this played out, you'd think Comcast was trying to fail.  This was screwed up in every way possible - Peacock support had no idea what was going on, Xfinity support either had no answers (or, if the report above was true, hilariously wrong answers), and this was with WEEKS after they made the announcement about limited free service to figure out how they were going to make this work.

Sadly, there won't be any repercussions because Xfinity has no competitors in most markets, and if someone wants what's on Peacock, they have to go through Peacock.  So no matter how much of a colossal cluster this is, Comcast can't lose.

Greetings,

I have not seen a resolution for this issue yet and have not received any e-mails regarding a resolution.

I have Gigabyte service but see no evidence that Peacock is working without paying for the service. When trying to sign into peacock on a tv I get a continued prompt to pick a paid service.

Also, I am a diamond member but if I now understand the threads here only some Diamond members with enough points will qualify for the free Peacock streaming service. Of course, this was never stated anywhere other than the threads I read in this forum. The rewards prompt states this is not available to you right now.

Please send me a link on how to sign up for the free Peacock streaming service because I have a Gigabyte account.

Comcast - It shouldn't be this difficult.

As a Gigabit speed internet customer with Xfinity, you’ll receive a special offer for two years of Peacock Premium at no additional cost as long as you remain subscribed to Gigabit speed internet or higher from Xfinity. If you’re a new subscriber, you’ll need to activate your Peacock account. If you already have a paid Peacock subscription, you may need to cancel your existing subscription before activating Peacock. For instructions on canceling your existing subscription, see peacocktv.com/help/article/cancellation. After two years, your access to Peacock Premium will terminate unless you elect to continue receiving the service.

Xfinity Rewards Diamond and Platinum members with Xfinity Internet can redeem a special offer for Peacock Premium at no additional cost from the Xfinity Rewards website. You must be enrolled in Xfinity Rewards to take advantage of the offer. Once the offer is redeemed, you’ll continue to have access to Peacock Premium as long as you remain enrolled in Xfinity Rewards as a Diamond or Platinum member with Xfinity Internet. If you’re a new subscriber, you may need to activate your Peacock account.

If you already have a paid Peacock subscription, you may need to cancel your existing subscription before activating Peacock. For instructions on canceling your existing subscription, see peacocktv.com/help/article/cancellation.

I 'claimed' the offer on the Rewards page yesterday afternoon. It then stated I would receive an email in a couple of hours with instructions.

12+ hours later and I have still not received the email --- how do I activate Premium?

The banner Xfinity says to click on shows up on the Xfinity app for your iPad or iPhone. Diamond members, etc. can then click and get the free premium Peacock subscription.

Refresh it and try scrolling down and there should be something to click on about Peacock if you are a diamond member.

Greetings,

Update

Using the phone apt I was able to redeem the free Peacock offer today June 27th 2023. 08:00. No credit card was asked for.

Signing into infinity on a computer I was never able to redeem the offer.

Specifically, the offer is because I have gigabyte service.

On the computer I was presented with a button saying I might be eligible for free subscription because I'm a diamond member.

When clicking on that the pop up it stated, "We're sorry, looks like this award isn't available to you at this time."

So, to help the thread, if you are a diamond member it seems you have to have X number of points to qualify. Nowhere does Comcast specify the number of points you need to quality.

After activating the offer on my phone, I note that my tv now goes to the show I want and no longer requests a paid service to watch any program.

Hope this helps the forum.

With Gigabit service there is a Peacock offer that differs from that of the Peacock offer that is sent to Diamond or Platinum members. At this time, both offers cannot be accepted, it would be one or the other. This may be why you were unable to redeem the offer and received the pop-up message.

I am a diamond member. Today I went to the rewards part of the web site and clicked on the free offer for Peacock. I got an email with a link to use xfinity assistant to activate. That link takes me to a page that says "This message didn't send. Try again.". The peacock web site still tells me to pay $4.99 per month, and the xfinity web site has nothing about activating the offer.  So I am still stuck.

Have you tried accessing the offer from the Xfinity app or assistant on a cell phone or tablet? We have seen great success using the app as the method to complete enrollment.

I am a platinum member.  I am blind, so going through these steps pose a significant challenge.  Can someone describe the steps I need to take to get Peacock with Xfinity Rewards in detail?

@doublejskid Yes, please follow these steps:

1. Go to https://www.xfinity.com/chat/

2. Click on 'Sign In'

3. At the top of the page you should see the Activation Banner

This should allow you to redeem your offer, but we are aware that this may not be working for everyone and our team is working on the issue.

I'm a diamond member that have Internet and cable, I read the FAQ for it, and says I can get the service, but when I go to my rewards, I get the same issue, not allowing me to redeem it.

I am a Diamond member.  I am on the phone with Xfinity support and they don't know anything.  She tried to sign me up for the $2.99  a month subscription. Some training is needed as well.

Here is the page showing who gets it for free.  As a Diamond member it is free for me.  Now, convincing them is another story.

This is the solution....and Xfinity employees don't seem to understand it but it is quite simple:   YOU NEED THE LINK ON THE REWARDS PAGE THAT TAKES YOU TO PEACOCK IN ORDER TO GET THE FREE SERVICE.  No ands, ifs or buts....that's what is needed.

If you get the link and click it and it takes you to Peacock...make sure you know your log in because if for any reason you need to reset your password or create an account, it will take you from that page and the next log in page you'll get is not the one from the link....so that means the reward goes away.  THE LINK FROM XFINITY TELLS PEACOCK THAT YOU'RE TO GET THE SERVICE AT NO COST.

If you happen to use the link and have to create an acct or reset a password - you're screwed; because once you click that link...you don't get a second chance if something goes wrong (this happened in my case and I can't get anyone to understand that).

Clearing caches, computer histories, uninstalling/reinstallings apps WILL NOT HELP (ARE  YOU LISTENING XFINITY????).   It makes no difference whether of not you use your xfinity log in at peacock.  What your customers need is THAT LINK.  It really is that simple.

EDITING TO ADD:  Check xfinityPaula's solution of there being a banner in xfinity assistant - IT JUST WORKED FOR ME.

(I do however highly advise that you know your Peacock log in prior to using the link).   If you can't locate xfinity assistant, just do a search.

I have the same problem. I was told to cancel my original account with peacock, and I did. So no account I have to make a new account. My link says

so does that mean the reward is gone?

Assistant is near the bottom of the account page, but it did nothing for me.

What link are you referring to?

I claimed the Peacock Premium reward and signed in to Peacock using my previous login and password, as instructed. I do not have access to Premium programming. Did get an order email showing it add at no cost to my service - that's it.
