Paramount Plus with showtime

My bill shows that I have paramount plus with showtime however I am unable to access any of the paramount plus programs. When I do an Xfinity search for a paramount plus program, it tells me that I must sign up and pay for paramount. If I say to sign in with my provider, Xfinity is not shown as an option. Please either fix this issue or no longer charge me for paramount plus and showtime.

The concern is not "Community Center" help related............ Topic moved here to the proper help section, and for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Hey @user_2aw41q, Thank you for visiting our official Xfinity Forums Community support page. We will be more than happy to assist you with your Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscription.

Paramount+ with SHOWTIME was rebranded from SHOWTIME back in February 2024. The Paramount+ with SHOWTIME channel differs from the streaming service of the same name. You would be unable to access the Paramount+ with SHOWTIME application/programs with your channel subscription. You would need a separate subscription to access the app/programs.

With Paramount+ with SHOWTIME, you would have access to these channels:
-> Paramount+ with SHOWTIME East
-> Paramount+ with SHOWTIME West
-> SHOWTIME 2
-> SHOWTIME x BET
-> SHOWTIME WOMEN
-> SHOWTIME SHOWCASE
-> SHOWTIME FAMILY ZONE
-> SHOWTIME EXTREME
-> SHOWTIME NEXT

Hi there @user_7drc9s. That is correct. You will need a separate Paramount + subscription to watch Land Man.

So I’m watching Mobland on Showtime Paramount+ on demand. I can only watch episodes one through five in order for me to watch future episodes I would have to subscribe to Paramount+ individually? My three premium Channelpackage states that I have HBO Max, Paramount+ with Showtime, and STARZ. Why do I need additional access?

Hey there user_ey800w 👋 If you see an item on your bill listed as "Paramount+ with SHOWTIME" this does not mean you are subscribed to the standalone Paramount+ service or have access to Paramount+ exclusive content, but rather reflects a merger between Paramount and Showtime that took place on 6/3/2024, subsequently changing the naming of their offerings. What used to reflect on your bill as just "Showtime" denoting that you had access to the live Showtime channels and on-demand content is now reflected as "Paramount+ with SHOWTIME", but the content offerings from Showtime have not changed if you are subscribed.

So I can only watch the episodes of Dexter Resurrection if I watch them on the channel as they air, or record the episode? I can no longer watch the episodes on demand? Even though it is a Showtime show and I pay for Showtime?

@user_ia2lme I’m having the same problem.  We had been watching it just fine without any additional subscription to Paramount+ and all of a sudden we can’t.  So I reluctantly re-subscribed to Paramount+ even though my Xfinity plan says we have it and Showtime.  We STILL can’t get it.  There’s a box that comes up on Paramount+ saying Manage Plan and to go to web if we want to do that. I don’t!  I just want to watch what I paid for! I can’t get any further to watch the episode!   So, is Xfinity NOT letting me watch it even though my plan clearly says I have Showtime (with Patamount+) even though I realize the latter is for On Demand live tv.  So that’s why I paid Paramount+ $7.99 a month to steam shows in my tv!  What gives?

Hello @user_ia2lme thank you for taking time to reach out over Xfinity Forums on this post. I definitely want to help get the proper expectations set up that the Paramount + App and content is separate from Paramount + with Showtime. Showtime was renamed after the merger with Paramount. Having a subscription to Paramount + with Showtime will allow access to On Demand programing which can be located on the Xfinity button on your remote.

To access the Paramount + App and content there, you would need the subscription to that service. Currently, for any providers who allow access to the Paramount + App and content there is listed on their website and currently Xfinity isn't on the list:  https://help.paramountplus.com/s/article/PD-I-have-a-subscription-to-the-Paramount-with-SHOWTIME-network-through-my-TV-provider-Do-I-also-get-a-subscription-to-the-Paramount-Premium-plan-on-Paramount

Here is a great article I found on our website that has more information on the content provided with Paramount + with Showtime: https://www.xfinity.com/learn/digital-cable-tv/premium-channels/paramount-plus-with-showtime
