Ongoing Service Interruptions Due to Neighborhood Construction
I am writing to formally complain about the ongoing construction work being performed in my neighborhood over the past 10 days. During this time, my Xfinity service has been repeatedly interrupted, resulting in multiple lost workdays. I work from home and rely on a stable internet connection to perform my job.
The frequency and duration of these outages have made it extremely difficult to work, and I have received little to no notice regarding service interruptions. This has caused significant inconvenience and lost productivity.
I would like to know whether this work can be scheduled during nighttime hours or weekends to minimize disruption for customers who work from home. At a minimum, advance notice of outages and an estimated schedule would be greatly appreciated.
Please let me know how this issue can be addressed and whether any accommodation, service credit, or alternative solution is available.
Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.

Hi there, @user_jessa! Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Community Forum and sorry to hear about the ongoing connection trouble. With scheduled downtime, we strive to do upgrades and maintenance during non-peak hours, however there are some instances where that is not possible. This is usually the case when there are outside entities that are involved that require daytime hours, local requirements and also when there are unplanned problems that necessitate it. I am not certain of the nature of the interruptions, but we do normally send advance notice via email and text when it is a scheduled situation. Of course, if issues arise, times may be extended. We can certainly review your account to see if there is any further information and work with you on credit as well. Please send a direct message to us by clicking the chat icon in the upper right corner of the page, click on the pen and paper icon, then enter “Xfinity Support” in the “To” section. Please include your full name and complete street address.

Do you happen to live in NE Portland? There's like 100-500 of us in a neighborhood who are having the same exact issues. I am at my wits end, I'm about to just cancel my service after 8 years of being with them. I don't want to, but this kind of service is impossible to live with.
