Old Comcast/Xfinity drop line needs removal — not a customer

I recently purchased my home and am not an Xfinity customer. An AT&T technician removed the old AT&T wiring and equipment from the exterior of my house but identified one remaining aerial line as belonging to Comcast/Xfinity. I would like to have this unused line removed from my property. I have tried calling and using Xfinity chat but have been unable to reach anyone who can submit the request. Can an Xfinity representative please help me create a service request for removal?

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Hey @user_o7sqbp, Thank you for visiting our official Xfinity Forums Community support page. We would be more than happy to submit a request to remove the Xfinity Drop Line. We may not remove any additional outside wiring and can remove the drop only.

Please send a direct message by clicking the chat icon in the upper right corner of the page, clicking on the pen and paper icon, and then entering “Xfinity Support” in the “To” section. Please include your full first/last name and complete service address (Including the city, state, and zip code), and I'll be happy to help.
