Old Account Information --- How do I get Xfinity to Flush It?

When I moved a year ago, the "transfer service" facility did not work.  I won't go into all the problems that had to be fixed, but it took several trips to the brick and mortar, long chats with humans, but finally we were able to establish service in our new house.  The problem is that Xfinity still has records of the old account, and that data has a bad habit of popping up when I try to add a new device or service.  The most recent example was a Roku TV, which for some reason kept loading my Xfinity account info from the old, deactivated account.  The Xfinity Streaming App would not load properly; that prevented me from accessing all Xfinity TV services, so I returned the TV.  So here is the question: how do I once and for all flush that old data out of the Xfinity universe?

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

user_xratxr Hello, have you tried these steps?

Unlinking an Old Account:

Log in to your current account on the Xfinity Website as the primary user.

Click on your Account icon and go to Account and Identity or Settings.

Find the Linked Accounts or Account Details section.

Click Unlink next to the old account you want to remove and confirm your choice. Note that you cannot unlink an account while you are actively logged into it.

Hello @Curmudgeon101, and thanks for posting on our Xfinity Community forums!

In order to view older accounts, you would need to link them on our Xfinity.com website.

Once there, sign into your account via your main web browser, and go to the Account Icon.  Select Account and Identity then click on Xfinity ID and Security.

Scroll down to the Your Accounts section and click Manage and link accounts, and verify your identity (text/email or app notification.)

Select the Link Account option and and enter the requested information for the old account, then finish the confirmation steps.

You will need to log out and log back into the App or Website once this is completed and you can then switch between accounts using the account selection menu.
