Offered internet promotion by chat agent. Xfinity will not honor

I was offered a promotion of $43/month for 300 mbps internet, for 24 months. Chat agent provided confirmation number, and I saved transcript and took screen shots. 2 days later I could see promotion was not applied. Chatted with a second agent who confirmed the promotion had been applied to my account. 2 additional days later I spoke with a voice agent who told me I was not eligible for this promotion, even though I was given a confirmation number. My advice : wait on the chat until you can see for yourself the promotion applied in your account. Otherwise the agent is lying. 

Xfinity has a horrible reputation and I understand why. I plan to cancel service at end of this cycle.
