Offer of free xFi Pod then being told no, you don't can't have one. Well sell you one. Bait and Switch!

Me:  There is an offer from Xfinity on my Xfinity app, Get our most powerful xFi Pod at no extra cost-a $119 Value! As part of your XFi Complete service. Your Whole Home WiFi Evaluation determined that your home could use a boost. so and so on. I tried to redeem said offer. Nope. Just upgraded to a Xi6 because my Xi5 was going out of service a lot. So because of this activity, no soup for me.

Xfinity Reps JaXXXX, andGXXXX when contacted said that I received a Pod several years ago, so I was not allowed another FREE Pod during my lifetime. Words to that effect.

We understand that's what you'd like to do, Michael. As mentioned, you are allowed 1 free pod per account and you wouldn't be able to redeem that once again. If you'd like another Pod you would be required to purchase that which can be done here:

Me:  Xfinity is offering me a new Pod "As part of your xFi Complete Service." The pictures and description all point to your latest and greatest hardware. I am asking you to assist in all ways possible to help me redeem this offer. I see no conditional restrictions.

Me: Our home is a 1954, chip and lath with plaster. Lots of walls and definitely not an open floor plan. I have had such excellent service over that past week, please don't end this as a customer service failure. Go back and read the positive exchanges between myself and all the agents who have assisted me. Please and thank you. It cost so little for so much good will. 20 plus years as a customer. Not so much to ask I hope.

Comment: To my knowledge no test was performed as requested.

Me: Why am I receiving solicitations for a new Pod? Documentation of this 1 pod rule. Is there a supervisor that I might speak with? Have you performed the test on my router I requested?

Xfinity:  I understand what you're saying. You also mentioned that you just logged into the app for the first time today. The free pod has already been redeemed when Xfi was added back in 2021. There is only one free pod per account when recommended. Any additional pods would need to be purchased.

Me  Funny thing about those adds for signing in for the first time. Didn't know New! Storm-Ready WiFi only with Xfinity add would be waiting for me when signing in for the first time. Same add ad the free wifi pod. Looks like a lot of brand new advertising too.

Xfinity:  At this time there is not a redemption available as it has already been used on 5/31/2021 and is limited to one per account. If you wish to purchase more, they can be purchased at https://www.xfinity.com/learn/internet-service/wifi/xfi-pod.

Me:  Are you familiar with the rule of law, known as "Offer and Acceptance". You, Xfinity offers, and I accept. Regardless of any one Pod rule.

Please help me redeem this current offer that I am trying to accept with out known or published restrictions.

Thank  you,

Mike

6 pages of replies on every single post except mine.  Something about the truth Xfinity can't answer or respond to?

The reception on the new box is absolutely horrible. Network broadcasts that stop and start. Pixilating screen.

My problems began from the beginning when trying to connect for the first time.  When I originally asked for a test, a reset, or whatever, my request to troubleshot and resolve my issue was ignored.

Instead of the free Pod I was offered and qualified for in the add that was sent to me. I am supposed to shell out $119.00 to make THEIR product better?

Find my old box that was over heating and send it back to me please and I'll return your brand new poor performing device. My old device was in my opinion a fire hazard waiting to happen being so hot to the touch; but the darn thing worked.

24 plus hours and still waiting for a response.

Hello, @user_1fd8e5. We certainly want to make sure that your services are working properly. As mentioned in our private posts, our customers are only eligible for one free xFi Pod which was redeemed. Any additional pods that you'd like would have to be purchased. If you'd like to continue troubleshooting or would prefer to swap out your device we can go ahead and help with either shipping one or you can pick one up free of charge at an Xfinity Store near you. Please let us know what would work best and you can send us a DM to further assist.

I am an Official Xfinity Employee.
