Nonstop Comcast spam calls

I’m getting 3-5 scam calls a day claiming to be from Comcast offering me a deal. I just hang up. Can’t block them because they change the CID every time. This has got to stop!

Also, please know that scammers can spoof their caller ID to make it look like they are calling from a Comcast number. Unfortunately, this is quite common and Comcast is not the only company that is a victim of this type of fraud. We recommend reporting any instance of fraud directly with the FTC, here: https://reportfraud.ftc.gov/#/

@XfinityMikeB​ the calls show as spam on my phone. When I answer it is a female voice saying she is from Comcast (not xfinity).  I did listen all the way through once & entered "4" to stop the calls, but it hasn't stopped them.  I block each number through nomorobo, but a different number is used the next time.

That certainly is frustrating. If these are scam calls, reporting it to the FTC is definitely a good thing. Do you have any other questions about that process?

You don't seem to grasp the situation: the bulk of the calls needing to be blocked are purportedly from xfinity on different phone numbers. Reporting each one to the 'Do-Not-Call' folks is ineffective due to the large number of numbers being spoofed.

Why are you answering it if it shows as spam on your phone?  When you do that you are giving them notice they've connected to a live number and will pass it around.  Stop answering the calls!

it doesn't always say spam. It is a local # & I will sometimes answer if it doesn't say spam.
