No confirmation email

Howdy,

 

A few things! 

 

I never recieved a confirmation email after signing up for Xfinity Internet. I checked my spam folder and it's not there either.

 

When I log in to the Xfinity website, I get taken to a 'no account' page that says 

"Thanks for your purchase, _ !

We're getting your account set up. Check back soon to track and activate your services."

 

I had an installation scheduled for today, 8-10am, but the tech did not arrive.

@ComcastBillie Hi I have the same issue, I didn't receive an email for an internet order and my account says we are setting up your account. Still hasn't changed. I have a screenshot of the order number also but never got an email and a 1$ hold was placed on my card. Would really appreciate any help.

To get started,  please send us a direct chat message with your full name and service address to Xfinity Support. To do so, click on the chat icon located at the top right of this forums page.

 

Here's the detailed steps to direct message us: 
 • Click "Sign In" if necessary
 • Click the "Peer to peer chat" icon (upper right corner of this page)
 • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
 • Type "Xfinity Support" in the to line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list
 • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
 • Press Enter to send your message

Hi, 

I'm having the same problem. I made a new account 2 weeks ago and so far the login page has been stuck saying "Thank you for your purchase, please check back soon to activate your account."

I didn't get a confirmation of purchase email, only an email to confirm the email associated with the account. I talked to customer service on the phone and they said to purchase the plan again but I'm afraid of getting charged twice and the plan I previously bought is now more expensive. I'm pretty sure that if I waited until my scheduled installation nobody would show up.

Just wondering if you ever found a solution to the problem!

@user_30a524 I really appreciate you working with us. To anyone else who is having similar issues, you should receive an order confirmation within 6 hours. If you do not, it is likely that the order will need to be placed again. Thank you for your patience!

@user_30a524 Just an updated solution: If this happens it means that somehow the account never got set up and Xfinity won't have any of your information registered. The fastest thing to do is to just make your purchase again at whatever the current rate is.

I also had this problem. I went through the steps online to purchase an internet plan and after submitting the order I was taken to the home page, there wasn't even a message that said "were getting your account set up". I checked my email and there was no confirmation email either. After waiting two days with no updates I noticed there was a charge and credit from Xfinity on my credit card, so I guess the order didn't go through.

What worked was doing as @user_30a524 suggested by completing the order again. This time I got a confirmation email right away. I'm disappointed that Xfinity can't creating a working order page, but at least it's working now.
