Need to Remove free Peacock Premium plan from Xfinity - Please Help

I used to have a Peacock Premium Plus account that I enrolled in directly with peacocktv.com.  It was the no-ad plan, and it was great.

Unfortunately, I signed up for the free Peacock Premium account offer from Xfinity.  Afterward, I found out it is not possible to add the “Plus” portion to the free Xfinity Premium plan.

I want to downgrade/cancel the free Peacock Premium account that is linked to Xfinity.  Like other customers, I have not found a way to do this.  I go back and forth between Peacock & Xfinity trying all the instructions they give, and nothing works.

What can I do to remove my Peacock account from Xfinity?  I want it to be canceled so that I can go back to my original paid account directly with Peacock. 

I should have kept the paid account I had directly with Peacock.  Please Help! Thank you in advance

Just lived this myself.  The solution is to downgrade to the from the 1200 plan to the 800 plan and xfinity will automatically release your Peacock account as the 800 plan does not qualify for free Peacock.  You can then upgrade back to 1200.  I stayed at 800 as I likely did not need the 1200 plan to begin with.  You're Welcome!

If anyone wants a solution, the best way I've found is to cancel your Peacock account outright and make a new one with the exact same information (name, email, payment info, etc.). It was easy to cancel mine through the iOS app, but there are more hoops to jump through if you're doing it on browser. It took about a week for me to be able to make the new account, and it took them about three weeks to email me confirming my account was canceled.

Then I just never linked the new account - with the exact same details - to my Xfinity account, so I am able to freely choose whatever plan I want.

It's sad that there's not a better solution, but this worked for me.

@user_noqafz, thank you for using the Community Forum to update others on a workaround that worked for you. I do know there is an option to remove the promotion for customers, however due to a large backlog of request the Peacock team is addressing the length of time it will take is not certain at this time.

I had the same issue. I just went online(xfinity) and clicked manage my channels add-ons under there. I was able to click on Peacock upgrade plan and I upgrade it to premium plus
