Multiple drop outs after maintenance in the area
Sooo.. I've been making multiple complaints about dropouts after some maintenance. I work at home and its crucial to have a stable connection due to Citrix and VoiP. I work in IT so I've already restarted the router multiple times, checked all equipment and cables so there is nothing to do inside. I scheduled a technician visit on a Sunday 3-10-2024. I received a text stating "tech is arriving"... Moments later I received another text, "sorry we missed you, please reschedule." I immediately called and complained the tech didn't ring the door bell nor did he call and missed the appointment. I received another appointment later in the day for a different tech however my doorbell rang 20 minutes later. I met the tech and stated the issue is outside after scheduled maintenance and to check the lines. It was actually the same tech [Edit: personal identifiable information] that missed the appointment so I could tell he was aggravated. The tech said to me "I don't know you, you don't know what you are doing and I need to come inside." I repeated my issue and asked if he could check the lines outside... He said NO and walked back to the truck. When I asked for his tech number he said "They know who I am." I am appalled and wouldn't have him in my home if you paid me. I need this escalated as I am not only insulted but would never have anyone in my home with that attitude and also trying to avoid the work. My next move is sending an email to [Edit: personal identifiable information] about my experience. I am also searching for another provider. I have had two dropouts while writing this message. @user_bzjh0f thank you for bringing this experience to our awareness. Our team is here and happy to investigate your connection and send your feedback long. Please send us your full name and complete address in a direct message.
(Full credit to @BruceW for this excellent explanation!)
"Search for Xfinity Support" won't work. To send a "Direct Messaging" message to Xfinity Support:
• Click "Sign In" if necessary
• Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
• The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there
• - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list
• - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
• Press Enter to send it
See this for an example.
