Moving to interim residence

I will be moving to a new home, but it will not be ready for about 4 months. I will be living in a short term apartment and would like to know if I could keep my account (phone #, etc), continue to have my e-mail acounts and streaming services. I would also like to turn in all my rented equipment and acquire new equipment when I move in to my permanent residence. Is this possible?

Thank you for taking the time to reach out and being part of the Xfinity family. So you want to know if you can transfer services to a short term apt for 4 months. Then after the 4 month period have services transferred again to your permanent place? This time will all new equipment?

Yes you can depending on how far away each home is away from each other. If it's within the same town or down the block most likely, yes. If it's farther than that or across the country then no, you'd have to have to cancel services and restart them at your new place.

Thankyou so much! But will my bill change, since my temporary residence will probably not have Xfinity services?

Thanks again and yes, my final residence is within Xfinity service area...

If you do not plan on keep Xfinity at your temporary residence, you will need to cancel your current account now until the new home is ready in 4 months. Once the home is ready, you can contact us to set up a new account for that address, which at that time you will have to get a new promotion. It is possible your bill could change.

Thanks again, will I be able to retain my phone number and email accounts, which I have three. I would like to keep my email accounts active and retain them. I would be willing to pay for some semblance of service to keep my email accounts active. I have been with Comcast since 1990. Thanks

You're very welcome :) we are here to answer all of your questions, and we thank you for being a valued customer with us since 1990. You will be able to retain your same phone number and email accounts, we would have them transfered with all the rest of your services so the move is simple and easy. I know how importanrt keeping the same number is to you, my grandmother has had the same number for over 50 years and she would be devistated is it were to changed.

As far as your services go, we can certainly get you signed up with something similar to what you have currently. The rate will be slightly different due to our rate cards being created for specific areas but you will cetainly qualify for the best deals/promotions avalible.

Thank you, While I am in a temporary residence without Xfinity services I had for 30 years, I would like to continue to use my email accounts and phone number (I will receive email notifications if someone leaves a message). I will be in this situation for 3 months, afterwhich, I will restoring the previous services I had for 30 years.

You're welcome :) You can certainly resume using your email accounts and we can assist you with retaining your phone number as long as the old account has not been terminated just yet. The account would need to remain active for the number to be saved or ported out to another provided if that was the way you wanted to go. Let us know if you need anything else we are here to help.
