Move modem to another room
I'm looking into moving my modem and router from the living room to my bedroom. The problem is they are on opposite sides of the house. I saw it's possible for a technician to route a new line if the room is next to an outside wall? How would I go about trying to work that out to get a tech scheduled?

Hi @Violeta179 , Thank you for visiting our official Xfinity Forums Community support page. We would be more than happy to assist with the installation of a new outlet for the modem to be moved. The installation cost is typically $100.00 and we would be able to perform what is called a wrap-around install.
Essentially, this would be a coax home run line from the cable distribution enclosure box outside the house, wrapped around the outside wall of the residence, and drill a hole for an outlet installation. We would not be able to perform in-wall coax installation and would need to refer to a local contractor to complete the work.
If an in-wall installation is needed, we do work closely with HelloTech and provide up to a 25% discount. More information can be found by visiting our 'HelloTech overview' support page.
If you would like to proceed with the wrap-around installation, please send a direct message by clicking the chat icon in the upper right corner of the page, clicking on the pen and paper icon, and then entering “Xfinity Support” in the “To” section. Please include your full first/last name and complete service address (Including the city, state, and zip code), and I'll be happy to help get everything scheduled.
