Messin up the yard!
Switch from Highline to xfinity, which was no problem, as I needed the extra speed for my 3D print business. I had no issues during the install, however it was two weeks before they showed back up to bury the exterior ground cable. The guy showed up in the evening and started burying the line. Somewhere in the middle my internet shuts off without warning, which caused a connection interruption on my printers. I walked outside to find out what happened and was answered with "10 minutes". Again, kinda messed up my stuff, but a warning to pause my printers would have been nice. Even when he arrived he could have stated this might or was going to happen. Then I could have suspended my projects till he was done. Still not my biggest issue. After the Xfinity Tech left, I walked outside to my neighbor yelling at me because the xfinity truck was parked on his 2nd property and the last half of the cable was buried under his side of the property. Im not sure if this is OK or not legally, but again not my biggest problem as his property is all dirt and weeds. But now I look at my property, Xeriscaped for $34k by a friend who gave me a discount, so worth much more I'd assume. The rocks against the house were shuffled, which ok, I can smooth that with my foot and let the rain rinse the rocks. But, then I turn around and see numerous holes or divits in the rock driveway, where he apparently used the shovel as a walking stick. Still not the worst part. The worst part is the trail and mounds of dirt, rock and rubble that now runs diagonally through my driveway. Im going to assume the guy was working late and was just in a hurry, but if that is the case, move my appointment to the next morning. I already waited two weeks and he showed up unannounced anyways and without warning. That could have waited a day. Go home to your family, im not that important. Anyways, now I have to get my decrepit [Edited: Language] out there and pan through the mounds of dirt and rocks to get my black rocks back on top so my driveway doesn't have a zebra stripe in it. It would have been nice to have used a pickaxe after the shovel moves away the top layer of rock to move the dirt, bury the cable and bury it then place the nice matte black rock back on top, like there was no disturbance. It just could have been easier for me to clean up. Im not 65 years old decrepit, but I am not in the healthiest of my days anymore. But I dont want mud in my driveway this winter so I guess I get to fix it.
