Massive lag on apps

Anyone experienced massive lag on certain apps but not others? Netflix works perfectly but I can’t get anything to actually play on Disney +. I’ve reset the box and cleared cache .

Hello @user_rdttt7 and thanks for posting your concern on our Xfinity Community forums.

It sounds as if you're dealing with some frustration on Disney+.  I actually had a similar issue a few days ago myself. 

Like yourself I tried a few different things, including restarting and clearing the app cache.

Some additional steps I took that eventually resolved the issue was checking for updates on the app, including uninstalling and re-installing it, and I also checked for updates on our box.  These may help you.  

I also tried switching audio settings, because sometimes Dolby can cause lagging issues with Disney+.

My final fix was to disable frame content matching under the display settings, and setting it to non-seamless seemed to fix it.  Two days later I was able to switch it back and its still running good (Disney always seems to be persnickety on some days) for us in our home (I've been re-watching all the Star Wars stuff, so I've been using it a lot!) 

I suspect the issue was transient coming from the Disney streaming servers. 

Try giving those a try and let us know what happens!
