Maintenance tech working on outdoor line my tv screen fried
Whether this is a warning to future or current customers, after a week of terrible service my final straw was today when an outdoor
Tech reconnected my outdoor line to my house, my previously working 1.5yr old $1000 LG tv went black. I thought maybe it was rebooting, nope I could hear sound, tv had faint glow. Quite literally while he was still outside standing at the outdoor box my tv was fried. Absolutely not a coincidence. He gave some [Edited: "Language"] about must have broke, well obviously but it was directly related to xfinity work. I told him not 1min ago tv was on and functioning and as soon as he was done my tv went black. He offered no explanation. I have seen this issue posted here, xfinity knows it's a possibility and problem. Also this is after the electric and xfinity wire fell from my house laid 25ft across my yard and we're in public road obstructing traffic, electric company was repairing within 20min, they left xfinity wire on the ground as they said liability is that xfinity handles their own wires. Xfinity couldn't come out for 2 days, Tuesday appt came no one showed, called complained gave us priority appt Wednesday, no one came, we called and xfinity told us they canceled the appt because the wrong tech was being sent out.they did not inform us, so I missed work and they canceled without telling me. Thursday appt finally happening, never was addressed or spoken to, he immediately began outdoor work, i could hear him tinkering through the wall directly where line comes in the house, tv went black only sound worked, he came into the house within 2min of outdoor completion and I told him my tv worked right until he was working on that box. He told me pretty much it was broken, but offered no help no explanation and obviously no responsibility that it worked up until the minute he touched my xfinity box connected outdoors to my house. He completely replaced wire from the pole on the street to my house and the loops inside the box and fresh coax, I clearly see the grounding wire in there too, i believe he knows he caused it, i have a feeling he touched up or 2 wires touched or even static that caused a surge that fried my screen. Inexperienced, incapable staff not trained to work anywhere near electrical, but the 2 usually run pretty close, i think he accidentally did it but still, he just left, however he sat in his van on the main road after leaving my driveway and parked next to the pole where he was working and was there a good 20min I think when he saw my tv fried he knew he may have done something to cause it, maybe he was checking the box out there or fixing something he realized he did wrong. I am furious. How do I prove my tv was totally fine and functioning and blew out the 2nd he touched my lines. He never came into the house 1st.

Also my lines would have only needed to be lifted up and we probably wouldn't be in this situation, but xfinity could not offer any reliable service to come fix the danger their wire was causing in a public road or in my yard that 3 kids & 3 dogs play in. They left the wire down for 4 days, the tech who came out even mention the wire was destroyed, it wasn't when it fell but only after 4 days of cars ran over it and damaged it, not to mention without being told to a driver who was obstructed by the wire lifted it himself dragged it and hung its slack up on a tree, which still sat 3 more days. And to follow up all those days whether and conditions were completely safe and workable. I even saw a xfinity truck with the ladder and multiple xfinity vans around my area working. They just didn't prioritize one of their wires on the ground on a public road, nevermind my yard. Other people I guess needed internet to watch YouTube. I even let them know, I'd accept no internet service in my home as long as they fixed the outdoor safety concern for myself and local traffic. Unbelievable no one local to talk to, i just get bounced around between out of state workers or out of country workers. I have xfinity tech workers in my state who work here and are employed in a building that exists in my state, how do I speak to them, the workers and their uppers responsible for my local service. If people are employed there they have to have a building with a manager, boss someone. The run around is insane
