long term outage

On 10/21/26 an Xfinity technician came to my residence and restored my service. I'm not here all the time , but I noticed there was an issue months ago when I would try to log on to my camera. I notified Xfinity a number of times but could not follow through due to the fact that I would not be present  at the apt for a service call .

When he was finished the technician said that some wiring was switched and he corrected it .

That means that it was not my fault , yet Xfinity kept charging me a monthly fee of $22.64 for a service I couldn't use. I  cannot remember exactly when I noticed there was a problem, but it has been most of the year. I'm sure you can check your database and see when I logged on to record a problem with the Chat feature.

I would like to get some reimbursement for an issue that I had nothing to do with .

thank you

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Hello @user_ta7nq5, and thank you for reaching out here on our Xfinity Community forums.

We appreciate you sharing what happened. We can understand why you’d want the billing reviewed, especially after the technician was able to identify and correct a wiring issue, and you believe the service had been unusable for quite some time.

We’d be happy to take a closer look at the account history, including the previous contacts you mentioned and the October technician visit, to better understand the timeframe involved and what options may be available for a billing adjustment.

Please send us a Direct Message with your full name and complete service address, and we’ll be glad to review this with you.

(Thank you @EG for spotlighting this for us so we are able to review our customers concerns!)
