Legacy Box vs. X1
We have a somewhat old Legacy Box (2014 or 2016). Been giving us trouble lately with a lot of pixels. If we switch to X1, instead of getting a new Legacy, does our monthly price increase?

they are the same price. pixelaation will not be fixed and could be worse. need to get a tech out to find the problem (may be before or in your home).

Thanks for the info. We called Comcast when we were having the problem. Cust. Rep. said our signal was fine and the problem was because of the old box. We asked about getting X1 instead of just getting a new Legacy. She said the cost would be $19 more. We haven't been having the pixel problems lately.

a legacy DVR and an X1 DVR are the same, but in some packages/offers the first HD box is included in the plan price so making an HD box upgrade to DVR is only $10. This presumes you do have internet with Comcast.

You’re presuming the OP is talking about a DVR and not an HD box. The OP never made it clear the box model just legacy box

If you’re going from a legacy HD box to X1 dvr there will be a difference. Again it will depend on your present account is set up, it will very possibly change when you swap boxes, depends on your wants
