Internet Restoration in Atlanta, GA
I have been trying to get our internet restored since Sunday, July 12, 2026. We had a storm on Sunday and took out power, cable and internet. Power was up in less than 12 hours even with new poles, transformers and wires. AT&T fiber ran new lines on three different poles and was up within 48 hours. I am now 96+ hours without Xfinity service. I have called over 10 times and can't get an estimated time of restoration. We have had 3 technicians come out and say they can't do anything because there is no terminal block to connect our cable to on the pole. I need help ASAP. Whenever I call 1-800-XFINITY I get the run around of opening a pointless ticket. They can't even contact an Xfinity truck in the area because that is a different department and don't have access to that information. Customer Service at XFINITY is horrible and will never use them again. I am about to go and get T-Mobile 5G home internet. I have used it in the past whenever xfinity internet goes out. Which lately is a lot.

Hello @user_zxg5vn, and thank you for sharing your concerns with us on the Xfinity Community forums.
I can understand why you're frustrated, especially after being without service for more than four days while seeing other utilities restored around you.
Following severe storm damage, internet restoration can sometimes take longer than power restoration because service crews may need to repair or replace damaged network infrastructure across multiple locations before service can be safely reconnected. In situations where poles, lines, amplifiers, terminals, or other network equipment are damaged, repairs often require coordination across different field teams and completion of upstream network work before individual customer connections can be restored.
We'd like the opportunity to take a closer look at your specific situation. Please send us a direct message* with your full name and complete service address, and we'll review the status of the area repairs, any open tickets, and available updates to see how we can further assist.
