Internet Essential

I want to switch to Internet Essential. I am a current customer with Medicaid, the website blocks my application, and phone agents keep sending me back to the broken link. I need a Retention agent to help me downgrade

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Thanks for reaching out. Internet Essentials does have specific eligibility requirements. Receiving Medicaid can meet the public assistance portion of the eligibility requirements, but customers must also meet the account requirements.

One of those requirements is that you cannot have subscribed to Comcast residential Internet within the last 90 days. Since you are currently an active residential Internet customer, the application will not allow the switch to Internet Essentials right now.

We understand that is frustrating, especially if you are trying to lower your bill, but Internet Essentials is not available as a direct downgrade from an active residential Internet plan.
