Internet dropping while gaming

so I’ve just recently switched from another ISP to Xfinity and since I have switched over, I’ve noticed that while I am gaming, my Internet just seems to go out for no reason. I am playing on PC however, I’ve also noticed that it happens while I am on Xbox as well. I have reset my router on numerous occasions and still have the same issue. I am directly plugged in via ethernet (cat6) and still having issues.

this was not an issue that I had with my previous ISP so I’m not entirely sure what to do.

dalton_c36 Being in a gamer family here I would be asking the same questions. Let's pull up your account and see what is going on. Please send us your full name and complete address via our our Direct Messages.

How to Send Us a Direct Message:

  1. Click "Sign In" if necessary.
  2. Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or visit Xfinity Direct Messaging.
  3. Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon.
  4. In the "To:" line, type "Xfinity Support".
  5. As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
  6. An "Xfinity Support" graphic will replace the "To:" line.
  7. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.
  8. Press Enter to send it.
