Intermittent internet connection

Every few hours, my internet disconnects and comes back after about 1-2 minutes. This has been happening for 10 days. I’ve gone through all the troubleshooting steps and still having this issue. How can I schedule an appointment for a technician?

Hey @user_137eed,

Thank you for visiting our Xfinity Community Forums support page. I am sorry to hear that you may be experiencing issues with the services. One great resource to assist in troubleshooting and scheduling a service technician is to go through the troubleshooting steps on our Xfinity App or going through the Xfinity Assistant. Here you can go through a few troubleshooting steps and if a technician is needed, can view availability and scheduling right at your fingertips.

With the issues you are experiencing, could you ensure that all connections are screwed tightly as well as the coax cable is in good condition such as no hard bends, kinks, bite marks, or cuts that could interfere with the signal reaching the modem. Would you also be able to bypass any cable splitters to see if that helps improve the quality of the connection?

@XfinityDemitrius I already went through the Xfinity assistant troubleshooting but it’s not giving me the option to schedule an appointment. It’s saying no issues are detected. The internet works fine when it’s connected but it drops multiple times per day.

The coax cable is tightly connected and in good condition. It’s connected directly to the wall where the tech originally installed it.

I greatly appreciate you checking the cable connections. Are you using an owned modem or rental modem? Are you also using any additional third-party networking equipment in addition to the cable modem?
