Thanks for connecting with us here in our community, @ChrisWils. We're happy to help. Are you referring to installing your own internet or cable service? If so, after picking up our equipment or the equipment getting delivered, you would follow the steps on our instructions. After connecting some cables, you could get directed to the Xfinity app to help complete the installation. Did you place an order already? If not, I could help with that.

Hi Linda,

I have the app and the gateway equipment. I've followed the instructions via the app, and the light keeps blinking yellow/orange. Any recommendations?

Hello, @user_bktsii thank you for taking time to reply to this post. Sorry to hear your having issues with gateway not connecting to the network. I did see this is your first comment on Xfinity Forums and wanted to let you know the best way to get direct assistance is to create your own post, if you need to make the post look pretty here are some helpful links:

Xfinity Forum Acceptable Use Policy: https://forums.xfinity.com/conversations/guidelines/xfinity-forum-acceptable-use-policy/602d9c64c5375f08cd574236

I also found this document on our website that goes over the light status on the equipment: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/xfi-gateway-led-lights. Looking at the light combo, it looks like the modem is trying to connect to the network, and may need time to complete the connection. The Xfinity App is a great place to run troubleshooting on your network connection as well: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/internet-connectivity-troubleshooting

- Have you run through any additional troubleshooting steps after attempting to activate the equipment?
