Install Drop at New Construction House

Is it possible to have Xfinity install a new drop at a new construction house prior to moving?

I have a new house in an existing neighborhood. We plan to transfer our X1 Services, but there is no drop to the new house. I don't plan to transfer the service until I move, but want to get the new drop connected to the side of the house.

Curious how this works. Thanks in advance.

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Hey @Tek,

Thank you for contacting customer support through Xfinity Support. I hope you are doing well. I would be more than happy to offer my assistance and see what options are available. To ensure we provide the best and most accurate information, we would recommend sending us a Direct Message.

Can you send us a direct message with your full name, name of account holder (if different), current service address, and new service address please?

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon (speech bubble)

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it.

This way we can determine address serviceability, submit any additional information if needed, and more. We hope to hear from you soon.
