Incorrect information given on call
I am very upset because I had called Xfinity originally because I wanted to change my order from a delivery to a pick up. I had gotten the student discount that would give me 1 GB for 55 a month. The person on the call started telling me how I could get a cheaper deal for $51 and how I would for sure get this discount and the phone calls recorded. He said that I would get $10 discount because I had linked my account to an automatic payment. I even clarified with him and said do I have to link my checking account because I don’t want to and I saw that the website said you’d have to link your checking account. He said no and that as long as I had an auto payment with a debit or credit card I would get the discount. I ended up seeing my bill and it was $61. So I called again and I asked why I didn’t get the discount. He said it was because I didn’t link my checking account even though I had previously asked about that. I told him I wanted to change it back to my student discount that I had originally purchased. He said that in order to get a student discount you have to come in person. I found this very odd because I originally bought the student discounts through online and verified my student status online. I am very upset because it is still $61 and I would’ve had a better deal if I never talk to this person on the phone. He is giving the wrong information.
