Image not shown in full screen - Samsung TV and Roku Xfinity Stream

I'm trying to use the Xfinity Stream app and in both Samsung TV and Roku the live tv image doesn't stretch through the whole screen, however the channel guide and other menu parts cover all the screen. I haven't changed the TV settings as all the other apps, including video and TV don't have any issue, included Directv and Samsung TV. I also reviewed the Xfinity Stream settings and couldn't find a way to fix this. Is there a way to make the tv channels appear through the whole Screen?

Hey @user_b9c6e3, thank you for reaching out to Xfinity Support on our forums. Not much point of having a big TV if you can't get the full picture and I'd love to help get that fixed. Normally, that happens to me when it is an SD picture. Does it do it when you go to an HD channel as well?

Some channels broadcast in anamorphic so tge user can zoom or stretch image to get fullscreen

Hello @user_5692fb. I am sorry to hear you are having issues with your Xfinity Stream app on your Samsung TV. I would love to get your account pulled up so we can start troubleshooting this directly. Please send me a direct message with your first and last name, along with your complete service address to “Xfinity Support”. To do so, click on the chat icon located at the top right of this forums page.   

Here are detailed steps to direct message us:  

  • Click "Sign In" if necessary 
  • Click the direct message icon
  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon 
  • Type "Xfinity Support" in the to line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list 
  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window 
  • Press Enter to send your message
