If a human being doesn't contact me within 24 hours, I will switch to another provider
Comcast called today and informed me that the employee discount I was receiving for the past year is expiring now. I was expecting this since my husband was a Data Analyst at Comcast and he died a year ago. The problem is, the person who contacted me could not assist me with the transition. She gave me numbers to call for Xfinity and Comcast for my phone/internet/cable, and every single number I called goes to an A.I. I looked up your local stores and all of them have the same numbers. I tried getting the A.I. to transfer me to a human being and there was no option to do that and no way I could figure out to exit the A.I. loop.
Naturally, since my situation is unique, with needing to remove my husband's name and put my own, the rather limited A.I. cannot help me. In fact this, A.I., which is really no better than a phone tree with a little A.I. glitter sprinkled on top) couldn't seem to do anything but talk over me and repeat the same options over and over which is just what a widow wants to deal with one year after her husband died.
To make things even better, it's over 100 degrees where I live. Maybe I am actually the one who died, and this is [Edited: "Profanity"]?
So here is the thing. If a HUMAN BEING does not contact me within 24 hours to sort out this [Edited: "Profanity"], I am switching to another provider.
It's pretty [Edited: "Profanity"] ironic and sad that my husband saved your company millions of dollars and you can't even provide a human being to assist his widow.

Good day user_m0zlju, and thanks for connecting with us in our community for help! I'm sorry to hear about the recent passing you experienced, and you have my condolences. You are correct in that this is a bit of a unique situation you're needing to transition form in a service sense, and the last thing we want to do is hold you up from getting service started for yourself if that is your intention. If you could send our team a direct message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the full service address associated with your account, I'd be more than happy to look into this for you.
To send a Direct Message, please click on the “Direct Message” icon in the top-right corner of the screen, next to the bell icon, click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon, then type or select "Xfinity Support". Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window and press Enter to send your message and initiate a live session.
