I need to get rid of the bulky Comcast Router for a complete network re-do

Brief: I am starting a ground-up network build with Ubiquiti Unfii.  I currently have fiber optic running into an electronics cabinet that is 4" deep (it's not rackmount depth).  My current setup terminates the Fiber into an Arris SDU RFoG CPE.  That runs Coax into the new modem that Comcast just sent me, the Technicolor XB8.  The modem is my issue.  With my new network, I will not need wifi or routing services.  Ubiquiti will handle all of that, and having them on a device adds bulk, power consumption and heat.  Best Case Scenario, I'd love to eliminate that SDU completely and run fiber directly into a Ubiquiti Cloud Gateway Fiber, but I would have no way of authenticating on the network.  If there is no option to accomplish that, I'll go with the Ubiquiti Cloud Gateway Max, but I ant something small enough to wall mount next to the SDU ,inside of the electronics cabinet.  If that's the route I have to go, what is the smallest possible device that Xfinity offers for Fiber customers to offer authentication only, and then pass that signal on to my gateway?  TIA

Hi there, @RhysOfTheClanRhys! Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Community Forum. I believe that is the only device model we have available for fiber to unit services, but I can double check to be sure. Please send a direct message to us by clicking the chat icon in the upper right corner of the page, click on the pen and paper icon, then enter “Xfinity Support” in the “To” section. Please include your full name and complete street address.

@XfinityFrank

I just created that DM and pretty much copy/pasted the message from above (with a tweak or two).  I really hope that I can get someone with the technical know how to address this question, and that this person will treat me like someone who knows what I want and not ask 30 useless questions to get to the reason I am asking a question in the first place. #FingersCrossed
