I just received a Door Hanger that AT&T is installing Fiber in our neighborhood. What about Xfinity?

I just received a Door Hanger that AT&T is installing Fiber in our neighborhood.  When is COMCAST going to do the same and replace this old broadband cable with Fiber in our neighborhood?  I think the wait for Xfinity/COMCAST to upgrade our neighborhood from older broadband to fiber has been long enough.  If AT&T is upgrading our neighborhood to full fiber this week, then COMCAST/Xfinity should be doing the same or have already done this.

These older broadband lines are degrading and have been cut and spliced so many times that they are long past due to be upgraded.

How is it that the other company's/corporations are out replacing their older broadband with fiber and Xfinity has not moved on this yet?

The neighborhood is in Goose Creek, SC Woodland Lakes subdivsion right near City Hall and City Services.

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

If other Internet/TV corporations are replacing their Broadband with Fiber in our neighbor now, and Xfinity does not care, then I a 40 year customer of Xfinity will probably switch my service to AT&T fiber.  I believe many in our neighborhood will consider the same with many having already converted.  This broadband cable is over 35 years old.  Time to replace it.

acostar1 Hi there! Thank you so much for using our Xfinity Support Forums and our team is always here happy for the chance to connect. I understand that some companies are upgrading the infrastructure in your area, and we assure you that we are working on that as well.  The plan is to have it all upgraded soon, so keep an eye on the email address you have tied to your Xfinity account. That is the official method for upgrade notifications. A notice is emailed the second there is an upgrade planned for your neighborhood. It will provide the dates, and what to expect during the work in the area. Hopefully it is sooner than later, our crews are really amazing and fast.
