I am trying to understand why a company offering 55$ for internet only is charging me $130 a month.
Hi I have had xfinity for a long time, my bill used to be around 70 a month for just internet. This continued to creep up despite my location having frequent temporary outages.. very often multiple times a day the internet completely cuts out and if I dont unplug the actual coax cable and replug it it stays off. But the main point is evertime ive talked to an xfinity rep theyve just tried to upsell me on faster internet or some other package or box, when I make it explicitly clear I dont need faster internet.. I dont need fast internet at all. I need internet that doesn't randomly cut off throughout the day. Theyve sent techs out multiple times, yeats ago, and nothing they did ever changed a thing, the only thing thats changed has been my bill becoming 80 a month then 90 then 100 then 115 then 120 then 130.. now I actually believe they charge me 140 for ONLY internet and provided me with boxes I did not understand the use of and despite letting the reps know that they defaulted to sell mode and I never can make sense of what this company's doing anymore. But I am done paying 130 to 140 a month so I can get online.. its ridiculous, especially when ive been a customer for such a long time.. do I get rewarded? No its the theif who cant help himself and cant stop seeing if they can get away with taking more and tricking you into thinking thats the normal, when they incentivize people who HAVE NOT been paying them thousands of dollars for years with great deals, and act like nothing can be done until you pay that whopping bill of completely nonsensical fees, irrational surcharges, and recurring equipment fees, like [Edited: "Language"] this box costs 37 grand? Cause thats what youll pay for one if they keep charging you over and over for the same piece of equipment.. what were paying recurring amounts for is the internet..not the box that has a fixed value. This is the definition of a scam and monopoly. I am looking into every other service I can, and idk if there is any other option than att who has comparable hidden fees and jargon . But at least they dont charge you every month for a box that cost the company what? They arent paying for the boxes they already own over and over, its a made up fee for confused consumers with no other choice and should be liable despite any contract..that contract would become invalid under the circumstances that would undoubtedly be unveiled.
