hulu disney bundle with no ads

I got the free Hulu/Disney+ bundle and want to upgrade to Hulu with no ads and pay the difference. The Xfinity site tells me to go to Disney+, Disney+ tells me to go to Xfinity and neither customer service has been helpful.

This page says I can make this change: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/disney-plus-hulu

Can I upgrade to the no-ads versions of Disney+ or Hulu and only pay the difference?
As of March 17, 2026, you can upgrade to the no-ads version through the Xfinity StreamStore or on your TV box by saying “Manage my subscriptions” into your Xfinity Voice Remote.

But the Xfinity StreamStore doesn't give me the option. How can I make this change, if it's possible?

I was told by xfinity live help chat that I needed to make a whole new account with Disney and remove the Disney+ from my Xfinity bundle.

So basically choose to pay full price and give up my free bundle... Makes no [Edited: "Profanity"] sense

Hi there @user_myaw9i Thank you so much for reaching out!  Did you receive an error message when attempting to add the service yourself?  Or does it simply not show the option to upgrade on Xfinity Stream Store?

Thank you for letting us know you are not seeing the option @user_myaw9i. Regrettably we were informed earlier today that while the ad-free tiers of the Disney+ bundle were originally launched on the 17th, this is now being delayed due to technical issues. We apologize for any inconvenience and should have an update soon. Would you like us to touch base with you in a few days to see if we have an update available yet?

We would like to be informed when this is resolved so we can upgrade our Xfinity Hulu/Disney without commercials - without having to open a totally separate Disney account - which would make the Xfinity bundle bait a questionable practice at best.

Hello @user_mc0a62 and thank you for your expressing your concern on our Xfinity Community forum in regard to this issue.  Once a resolution is achieved we will be posting additional updates that are visible to those concerned with this, and at that point you should be able to see the update option on the StreamStore as well.

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

@user_myaw9i This was a very recent change as customers were not able to upgrade them when the plans first launched. Are you able to send a screenshot of what you are seeing when you access the SteamStore?

Once this is resolved, does anyone know what it will cost to upgrade to ad-free?

Would we pay the difference between the plans?
