Hello @JIvar, and thanks for reaching out with such a great question to our Xfinity Community forums,

and I can understand the excitement of seeing your area upgraded for multi-gig speeds. 😊

If your location has recently been updated to full duplex, there are a few self-service options you can review first:

 - Check available plans through the Xfinity app or by signing in to your account online to see if multi-gig speed tiers are available for your address.
 - Review your equipment to make sure your modem or gateway supports the speed tier you're interested in. Older devices may not be capable of delivering multi-gig speeds.
 - If you're using your own modem, verify that it's on the approved compatible device list and supports the new speeds.

Our list of devices certified for enhanced speeds may also be of some help.

For example, if you're currently subscribed to a 1 Gig plan, you may see options to upgrade to a higher speed tier directly through the app. Likewise, if your equipment isn't compatible, the app may recommend eligible replacement devices.

If you'd like us to review your account, available speed tiers, and equipment eligibility, please send us a Direct Message* with your full name and service address. We'd be happy to take a closer look and help determine the best path to getting those new multi-gig speeds activated.
