How to get modem upgrade from an Arris TM722G to improve speed?

I'm subscribed to the 400Mbps service and not getting anywhere near that speed with the Arris TM722G that was provided by Xfinity.  I have tested directly connected to the modem via ethernet (confirmed 1Gps connection) and my download speed maxes out at ~130Mbps.  I recently received an email indicating that I needed new equipment to get the full use out of my 400Mps service but following the links it ends up telling me my equipment is up to date?

The Arris TM722G is a very old modem - how do I initiate the process to get shipped an updated/faster modem/gateway?

Make sure you are signed in to forums

1. In the top right corner, you'll see a little chat icon(direct message) near the bell icon. 2. Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

2. Hit the compose button to the right of "conversations"

3. In the 'To' line, type "Xfinity Support" there. A drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list (an "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line)

4. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

5. Press Enter to send it. An official employee, such as myself or whoever is first available, will respond. Thanks!
