How to get a Xfinity 4k - XG1v4 Cable Box?
I have an X1 plan and just purchased a 4K TV and would like to change from current XG2v2 standard HD to a 4K XG1v4 box. How do I go about the exchange?

fastest way is to swap the box and power cord (not remote nor HDMI cable) at your local xfinity store.

Hi there, Adg2020. You can upgrade each box that is connected to a 4K TV. You don't have to replace all boxes. Does that help?

@ComcastJoeTru I, too, would like a XG1V4 box. I have both a 4K TV and Reciever. I didn't see any PM email link on your profile page. Can you help me out?
Thanks.

Hi all! Step one is to make sure that you meet the eligibility requirements for 4K services. If your TV is 4K compatible then, as @Rustyben stated earlier in this thread, the quickest option will be to swap the box and power cord at one of our stores. You can even set up an appointment to make it easier! If you are unable to then those that I have tagged can click on my handle (ComcastGina) and send your name and the address so we can get it ordered for you. We appreciate your patience with us here!

Hi @ComcastGina,
I was actually able to speak with someone on the phone just this morning and get a new 4K box shipped out. Assuming the right thing arrives in a couple of days, I should be good-to-go. Thanks!

I am in need of getting my old DVR replaced with the XG1v4 also.
I was just doing the Xfinity chat to try and get one ordered but the agent's English was a bit off and is unclear if he actually ordered one for me let alone if it is the XG1v4 that we need.
Can you folks at Comcast help me with this to make sure we are set up properly and get the XG1v4 sent to us and so we can send our old one back? @ComcastGina ?

Hi,
i went through quite an ordeal unsuccessfully trying to get the XG1v4 box. Initially I had to drive to several stores around Atlanta trying to find the subject box that wasn't in stock anywhere even though customer service was telling me it wa sin inventory. Subsequent to that I asked it to be ordered and even though I asked for XG1v4 I got Xi6 first and then XG2v2(which by the way is identical to what I have already). Anyway amopnt all this disfunction this forum remains my only hope of getting the box and would greatly apprecaite if somebody contacts me with assistance.

Hi there! I'd be glad to ensure that this gets looked into further. Please click on my handle (ComcastRob) and send a private message with your name, the complete service address (including city, state, ZIP, suite number, etc), and the phone or account number, and any pertinent details-- like the ticket number(s)-- so we can help.
