how to find buried coax cable

I have found portions of coax cable running to two different locations. One runs towards an old Cablevision terminal, the other towards a power pole. How can I determine which is the active cable?

user_g5yyln Hey I have been in that situation before. What I did was plugged my equipment into each outlet and found out what one had a connection, I did however not find one so I had to reach out for a tech to come help. Let us know if you need assistance. We are here for you.

I'm actually trying to find out which of the two cables are "active." I don't want to accidently dig up the one that services the house.

The concern is not "accessibility / disability" help related............ Topic moved here to the proper help section.

To be able to tell which is active, we'd need a tech onsite. We can help set that up for you. Please send a direct message by clicking the chat icon in the upper right corner of the page, clicking on the pen and paper icon, and then entering “Xfinity Support” in the “To” section. Please include your name and address, and we can get started anytime.
