How to activate a wifi gateway without the Xfinity app

I recently got a XB7 CM gateway for my apartment. However I cannot activate it without the app. I have talked to the Xfinity assistant and it has directed me to customer service twice.

Hey @user_rrp9i2, Thank you for visiting our official Xfinity Forums Community support page. In order to activate an Xfinity xFi Gateway, you would need the Xfinity App to submit the account information, edit the wireless information, and more. Do you not have a supported device that can download and install the Xfinity App? It is widely available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

No, my phone cannot download the app. Is there a way to activate it without the app?

So long as you're able to provide us with some specific information on the modem that we might need, we should be able to help get that activated for you 👍 Please send us a direct chat message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the full service address associated with your account to “Xfinity Support”. To do so, click on the chat icon located at the top right of this forums page.
