How do I check if Xfinity fiber (gigabit pro) is available for my house or when it will be?

I remember reading a while back about Xfinity fiber where you get same high speeds for both download and upload up to 10 Gb similar to AT&T Fiber offering but then no news. So was wondering if that still happening and if so how do I find out if available for me?

If not available and expected waiting time before getting would be useful to know to.

Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there
As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list
An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it
