Help With Raising a Low Hanging Wire Across Driveway

Last June I tried to have Xfinity work with PG&E to raise both lines and attach to a new pole that PG&E put in.  The Xfinity technician came, but did not bother to come to my door and clarify what needed to be done.  They raised the wire about foot and attached it to a tree.  I contacted Xfinity right away and asked them to raise the wire and they promised that they would.  It was never done.  Last week I had a plumber come to the house and he almost ran into the wire with his service truck.

I cannot submit a service request online because I keep getting an error message.  Your AI platform does not allow you to generate your own message and none of the pre-generated issues apply to my situation.

I remain very unsatisfied and disgruntled with Xfinity’s customer service.  If I had other options, I would have switched already.  As it is I am at the mercy of a company that does not care about customer service.  If I didn’t need the service, I would just cancel it, but my husband sometimes works from home and needs good internet.

Please let me know what further steps that I can take to get my situation rectified.  Thank you.

Hi there. We understand why you are frustrated. The previous visit did not resolve the clearance issue, and a wire hanging low enough for a service truck to nearly strike it needs to be addressed. Please do not attempt to move, raise, or detach the line yourself.

We would like to review the previous request and help get the wire properly evaluated. Can you please send us a direct message with your full name and service address so we can take a closer look?

How to send us a direct message:

  • Click “Sign In” if necessary.

  • Click the “Direct Messaging” icon.

  • Click the “Start new conversation” icon, which looks like a pencil and paper.

  • In the “To:” line, type “Xfinity Support.”

  • As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select “Xfinity Support” from that list.

  • An “Xfinity Support” graphic will replace the “To:” line.

  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.

  • Press Enter to send it.
