HELP! I want to add TWINS.TV to my plan

I need help from an Xfinity agent. I want to add Twins.TV to my plan.

An Xfinity channel (1261 in Minneapolis area) was created yesterday for Twins.TV. When I go to it, there is a message on the screen telling me that a subscription is required. It also tells me to go to Xfinity.com/upgradeTV. I can't find that channel on that web page. I've spoken twice to Xfinity agents today, and they couldn't help me either.

HELP!

@user_24b826 thank you for taking time to reply, and understand wanting to be able to watch Twins games on the new channel. Twins TV channel 1261 will be included in the Ultimate TV line up, so you would need to be on that channel line up tier to receive. For our grandfathered packaged customers the channel is included in the Digital Preferred TV line up. I hope this is helpful, please let me know if you need anything further.

Hey there, user_f58mrx, thanks for reaching out through Xfinity Forums regarding your account. We would be happy to help you with troubleshooting your channel lineup. Have you tried rebooting your box to see if that helps with the channel issue?

@user_xxewxl - Thank you for replying with your similar concerns. You've come to a great place for help! Our Digital Care Team is wonderful to work with because we'll help in any way we can. To clarify, with what app or website are you able to watch this network on your iPhone? It may be that you're speaking of a channel you don't actively subscribe to through Xfinity. Have you recently used our Plan Builder to check your options? I also highly recommend viewing our current list of channel line-ups here (you'll just want to change the address to match your location, then click "View Deals" rather than logging in - this makes the line-ups easier to view). Please let me know if this helps!

Why doesn't anyone with Xfinity respond to my question?

This is the most ridiculous [Edited: "Language"] I’ve ever heard of. What a colossal fail on part of mlb, Twins and Xfinity.

If you pay for the tier to were you were able to watch the Twins early last year, then you can watch them now. For me it is on channel 1261. It isn’t through Twins.TV, it is through Xfinity cable.

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

@user_4ipm3h The link: https://www.xfinity.com/learn/channel-lineup can be helpful in deciding the cable package you would be most interested in to add the channels you would like. Do you see the channel you are speaking of?

I've now spoken to 5-6 Xfinity agents. None of them are local or even speak English as a first language. Therefore, they're not knowledgeable about Twins.TV or the history of ever-changing options for Twins broadcasts. The best I can determine is that the Ultimate plan is required to get the Twins.TV channel, approx $40/month increase from the Popular plan... i.e., pay for 60 additional channels that I don't want, so I can get one channel that I want... another bad deal from Xfinity. I'll probably buy the Twins streaming app for $19.99/month, even though I'd lose the advantages of the Xfinity platform. More of the same: terrible Xfinity customer service leading to low customer satisfaction.

@user_4ipm3h You're correct, the Twins TV channel is now included in the Ultimate TV line up. We would hate to lose you as a customer. I'd like an opportunity to review your account to look for the best promotion available that includes the Ultimate TV line up and the internet service that supports your daily usage.

Please send a direct message by clicking the chat icon in the upper right corner of the page, click on the pen and paper icon, then enter “Xfinity Support” in the “To” section.

I did send a direct message to Xfinity Support, but I can't get anyone to respond. Please send a text or email when someone is available to address my concerns.

More extremely poor customer support from Xfinity. They wasted my time by offering what I've already declined from other agents. I just want to add one channel, and won't pay $35 more per month to do that. Insulting, time consuming, and frustrating experience.

A post on this forum from stated "Feb 12, 2025 — TwinsTv is on the MLB app. You can pay $19.99 monthly or $99 for the year. You do not have to pay Xfinity for the Ultimate level added cost ."  I checked my channel line up yesterday and 1261 shows as included in the Popular plan.  WHY IS XFINITY FORCING ME TO UPGRADE?

It’s in the ultimate package. So to watch on Xfinity, you’ll need to spend at least $34 or more a month to watch Twins.

user_3y568u TwinsTV is carried within our Ultimate channel package due to a programming change. The upgrade is optional and if you require our assistance with getting this added, please let us know.
