Gift Card Expired in a Different Timezone

At the end of my college semester, I traveled from the east coast to the west coast and I am currently in the PT timezone trying to use the $200 gift card that I had received earlier. Where I'm at, it is still 5/31 and I checked my card balance online which said that there is still over $100 left on the card. Upon trying to use it, however, I was turned down both by the store and by online purchases saying that the card had already expired (which it has in the location where I received the card initially). I completely forgot that I had to account for timezone differences when using the card and was just wondering if you guys would be able to help me out with this. Thanks so much.

Hey @Williwammo,

Thank you for contacting customer support through Xfinity Community Forums Support. I hope you are doing well. I would be more than happy to offer my assistance regarding the Visa Prepaid Card.

The Visa Prepaid Card would expire six months after the month the card was issued. For example, if the card is issued in January, it will expire on July 31. All financials would be based on the Eastern Time Zone and moving would not provide an extension to expiration.

Cards that have had any amount used cannot be reissued once expired. Any additional assistance and information will need to be directed to our Value Fulfillment team by filling out this form
