FORMAL DEMAND FOR DEBT RECALL, CREDIT REPAIR, AND ADMINISTRATIVE COMPENSATION FOR CORPORATE NEGLIGENCE
To the Office of the Executives, This letter serves as a formal dispute and a demand for financial settlement regarding gross administrative negligence, unauthorized billing, and unlawful credit defamation perpetrated by Comcast/Xfinity against my account. Despite fulfilling my obligations to terminate services, Comcast repeatedly failed to execute its own systems' directives, leading to months of financial harassment, collection actions, and severe emotional distress. FACTUAL TIMELINE OF EVENTS: 1. SERVICE TERMINATION REQUESTS: I submitted three distinct requests to close my account on December 24, 2025, December 25, 2025, and January 30, 2026. Comcast issued an automated email confirmation for each request, verifying receipt of the service disconnection. 2. USAGE TERMINATION: I completely ceased all utilization of Comcast services on December 25, 2025. This lack of service activity was explicitly confirmed verbally by a Comcast customer service representative over the phone in January 2026. 3. UNAUTHORIZED BILLING: Comcast ignored these consecutive cancellations and unlawfully drafted/billed a $50 monthly service charge from December 24, 2025, through February 2026. 4. COLLECTION HARASSMENT AND CREDIT DEFAMATION: Despite the account being closed and Comcast owing me a refund, Comcast sent continuous harassing bill reminders through June 2026. Comcast then wrongfully reported a non-payment balance to a third-party collection agency, damaging my credit profile and causing me severe mental agony. DEMAND FOR SETTLEMENT: To resolve this matter short of formal litigation via binding arbitration or small claims court, I demand the following remedies within fourteen (14) business days: 1. IMMEDIATE RECALL of the account from the collection agency and a complete deletion of the negative trade line from all credit reporting bureaus (Equifax, Experian, TransUnion). 2. DIRECT REFUND of $200.00 for the unauthorized monthly billings collected between December 2025 and February 2026. 3. ADMINISTRATIVE COMPENSATION of $500.00 to cover the excessive time spent on exhaustive customer service calls, writing formal correspondence, managing credit repair, and the emotional distress resulting from six months of ongoing collection harassment. Total Settlement Balance Due: $700.00 Failure to resolve this amicably will result in immediate escalation to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), my State Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division, and the initiation of formal arbitration proceedings for violations of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).

Hey @user_qkxw9h, Thank you for visiting our official Xfinity Forums Community support page. We will be more than happy to review your concern regarding an Xfinity disconnected Xfinity account. We will not be able to provide a $500.00 service adjustment for time, work, or inconvenience as they do not fall in line with our crediting practices, but we can help review and past charges for service and use.
Please send a direct message by clicking the chat icon in the upper right corner of the page, clicking on the pen and paper icon, and then entering “Xfinity Support” in the “To” section. Please include your full first/last name and complete service address (Including the city, state, and zip code), and I'll be happy to help.
