FORCED TO GET XFINITY INTERNET

OK, I have amazon prime, I click on it on my new Xfinity service and click on Amazon Prime and message pops up saying I must have Xfinity internet.  I have there X1 system stuff.  Since I don't like companies forcing me to do things, they will be dropped very soon, and I will just go back to what I had. Hi there! We’re sorry to hear you’re having trouble launching Prime Video on your box. Prime Video requires an internet connection to work, so if you don’t currently subscribe to internet service, the app won’t be able to stream.

If you do have Xfinity Internet along with your X1 TV service, the issue could be on our end, and we can likely fix it remotely for you.

Could you confirm if you subscribe to Xfinity Internet along with your X1 service? We’re here to help get this resolved for you!

I never ordered Xfinity internet and don't want Xfinity internet.  I want to use what I already and not be forced to use Xfinity internet.

user_timyfd Using the app on the Xfinity box does require an active Xfinity Internet connection. However, we want you to know that subscribing to our internet service is not the only way to enjoy Amazon Prime Video. Since Prime Video is a third-party app, it can also be accessed on other devices, such as smart TVs, streaming devices, or tablets, using your current network connection.

If there’s anything else we can assist with, please don’t hesitate to let us know. We’re here to help!
