False advertisement to help low income clients
The company continue to play games with me. You guys are false advertising. I go online to apply for the essential plus and once I put my address in it states that I already have service so I’m not eligible. Why do you guys give out this false information? I call to the essential plus line the website suppled if I were having problems. The lady tells me I can either take the plan with the mobile service or I have to disconnect my service and apply back in 90 days to qualify for internet essentials. I am in an unemployment training program for job training and have to turn in assignments for the school so I don’t have 90 days. I also do not want a mobile service. Stop telling people you guys have programs for low income people but low income people are not eligible for the programs.

Hi there, @user_ih8fy5! Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Community Forum. Sorry to hear you had a bad experience online and with the agent for Internet Essentials. What you were advised of is correct, however. One of the requirements for that service is not having had XFINITY Internet in the past 90 days. That information is indicated here : https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/comcast-broadband-opportunity-program. We can help take a look at what other options may be available to you though! Please send a direct message to us by clicking the chat icon in the upper right corner of the page, click on the pen and paper icon, then enter “Xfinity Support” in the “To” section. Please include your full name and complete street address.
