Fake Comcast Employees
I am having intermittent TV and internet issues and have a technician coming tomorrow to troubleshoot line noise. Within an hour of making the appointment I got a call from [Edited: "Personal Information"] with the message "Hello. We're calling on behalf of the Xfinity Advanced Technical Support Team, in reference to your technician appointment and to provide you a faster resolution, please call call us back at [Edited: "Personal Information"] again. That number is [Edited: "Personal Information"]. Thank you."
How are these scammers accessing Comcast appointment schedules and harassing customers? It's almost as if a Comcast Employee is sending this out as the appointments are scheduled.

Hey there, @ProfessorHawk. There are times when a resolution is discovered to attempt or can be made to avoid the technician's visit. We would like to further investigate this claim to see if it was our team reaching out or not. If you could please send me a DM with your first and last name along with your full-service address, we can get started.
To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or https://comca.st/3EqVMu7
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there
- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list
- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it
See https://comca.st/3KQF8q9 for an example.

I keep going round and round in the Direct Messaging. They don't read the message and then go off on a unrelated topic. The problem is the calling from Eclerx @ [Edited: "Personal Information"] that goes back to a non-english speaking person. Our internet has gone out again for the 3rd time this week and scheduled another tech. Today as soon as I scheduled the appointment I got a call from that number. I don't know what they are doing in the DM, but they have no clue what I'm referring to even after posting this entire thread. When I called support today, the woman confirmed this was a scam call as Comcast will only send a text and not call from Foreign Countries which is where Eclerx is located.
